Not sure how you'd get that from what I said. That's the bad thing about any forum...assumptions...

The VDF's that you are going to give away for the low price of $500 for the set. Will they be the same as the JET VDF's or will they have more parameters?

We haven't been '$$$$' by XXX for over a year (maybe longer...) so they never got final releases of anything because of it. They definitely were not going to get any 6.5TD stuff because of it...and you can quote me on that.

Thank you for the clarification

I had notice the JET version was lacking over the EFILive Duramax support.

Glad to hear that you won't hold back back on the parameters

Thanks again Programmer for all your hard work. You are the Duramax guy

1st Aj asked nodih
"about some encryption ideas and mentioned Nodih was the hardware "guy"".

Then Nodih said "he had some encryption ideas."

Then Programmer says If it gets released out in the 'wild', we'll know who released it. With a WINK smiley. (I took this as a joke, seeing that if Nodih designed the encryption, that Nodih would be the one that leaked the VDF, again I took this in jest)

then Nodih mentions
"We will? Got some more ideas... More devious.... that would help you find them in the "wild"....
(trying to find out who we are)

Then Nodih writes
"I hope you are not insinuating that I am. "

the Programmer types
"Not sure how you'd get that from what I said. That's the bad thing about any forum...assumptions... "
(realizing that their has been a misunderstanding)

All in all, I think that a joke was taken the wrong way. At least thats my take on it all.

I'm still trying to figure out what this means
"I'm already getting PM's from people that want diesel files with *.cal extensions ?? "
At 1st I thought that *.cal was a short form of Northstar.calibration file. But N* is the usual abreviation of Northstar.
What is a diesel file with a *.cal extension. Is it a diesel template (VDF) that can be used over MULTIPLE calibration I.D. numbers. In other words are people already trying to cheap out and avoid paying for multiple VDF's?

Boy can stuff get confusing when people assume that everyone understands the emotion that is intended to be conveyed. This is because over 80% of communication is non-verbal.
This is why it is important to be clear with anything that is typed. This is the reason why a lot of my posts on forums seem to be so damned long.

there, I did some moderating. lol

peace
Hog

I was surprised to see that they got the Vortec 4200 I-6 VDF's.

6.5 TD is your "baby", I am pleased to see that you are including the TCII crowd.
You are not only the Duramax "guy", but the 6.5TD "guy" as well. Til now, NO other tuning software has supported the 6.5TD. Thanks for sharing. I'll join AJ in thanking you for all your hard work.

peace
Hog

Trans calibration for the 6.5TD, yes...already included.

I've never 'really' seen the need to recal the Allison...we were making 700HP in 2002, no TCM tuning. It wasn't needed.

I can think of only a few cases we've ever modified the Allison TCM, and that was because someone wanted earlier lockup points...and when they didn't like it--it was back to the stock factory program. You can make the trans shift crisp from the values in the ECM alone.

I'll add the TCM if people want it...shouldn't be too tough, but it's going to be behind a couple other more important projects.
