Convertor threshold

Anybody played with the VDF editor?
Is it something I need to learn hex to use?
I need a table so I can tune the convertor threshold for p0420,gm just has them too tight and won't tolerate an aftermarket convertor.
It's the wifes car, would rather move the threshold then get rid of the cat.
Can I find this threshold and alter it with the VDF editor?

quick question.
I've been getting more and more interested in learning hex simply to expand my knowledge of the programming on these things.
Is it worth it to learn?
and do I need to take a college/tech type course or can I do it with homestudy?
I've just skimmed over some hex stuff, not really enough to know anything.

Just an update, for the first(well technically 2nd) time john didn't get back to me when I emailed him.

Asked him about the convertor thresholds and some quick advice on how to go about learning programming so I can dig deeper into this.

Was really looking forward to his advice since he is a programmer himself and I don't know any.

I've since decided to simply go to college and get the required degree.
I can get my associates in applied science in computer programming pretty easily, and i've been wanting to go back to school(I love learning).
I need to learn how to build custom spreadsheets anyway-the local tech course I tried to take just made me mad(20 people in one room taking 8 courses from 1 teacher at the same time grrrr..I walked out on it.)

Started doing alot of reading and learning tutorials on C and have learned to convert decimal to hex to binary and all back again etc.. pretty easily so far.
Also built my hello world program, lol.

Anyway, that's where i'm at-in a year or so I'll hopefully have the knowledge I need to add my own monitor thresholds for the mode 6 stuff.

Much appreciated

I'm registering for admission at the local college monday morning for fall semester.
Theoretically I'll be able to do it myself and work with the VDF editor soon..
