Got the definition from TC, programmed it changing vats=0 to vats=2 (disable).

The vehicle was not experiencing the problem when I was programming it, security light come on and went off, allowed it to start just fine. However after programming, it starts and dies instantly. I can program the vehicle back to the original read I did on the car and it starts and runs fine.

I'm emailing TC also on this, but recall seeing some posts about vats issues and 3800's, maybe someone has more info on this.

attached is the original read from the vehicle.
you still have access to the vehicle? i want to try something.

Any new development in the V6 anti-theft disable arena? I was never able to get access to the 2000 firebird I was working on

I have had issues with 3400's too, no dice.

I did successfully disable a 96 lumina vat's.

Yes.
Set Vats to "1" (In some cases, leave at "0")
VATS injector disable time -- set to "0"

Shut off VATS DTC's.

That will work.

I have two PCMs using these settings they seem to work to a point.
Once or twice a week they will not start until you wait 10 min. exactly.
10 mins waits just like programming passlock makes me wonder where that
timer code is and can it be dialed down to 0 seconds.
That might work but i would have thought that changing injector disable
time would have surely fixed it too.
A while back i lost a 6cyl pcm to a passlock error while flashing, found somthing interesting the other day as i was grabbing a '01 Impala bin
from TIS (see the pic) . Pulling the BCM fuse is cheap insurance.
