here is the log taken with pcmscann. i have 0 pe delay. if you notice right before i cleared the codes that the ft's were climbing. this is the only curious thing in either mode. when i idle the trims go to 25%lt (which i believe is maxed out) and 15%st (ish) and then go right back down to normal 5-6% if i am driving at all even like 2 mph.

it did the stall. sputter every time i accelerated from a dead stop. but it will still do it when at low speeds (2 mph) ie. i don't believe they are related.

How the MAF really works - LS1TECH

for those who are reading this with similar questions.

this helped out a ton thanks man!

* the idea i was missing is that the maf output references the frequency table to decide how much air is being measured.*

i thought that the total amount of air being measured was then output as the maf frequency. but that actually only tells the computer what part of the table to reference to determine the air flow.

all makes sense now and i will get to work on modifying my tables soon.

thanks again man!

maybe some one can unravel this mystery. i went out to tune that maf today. started the truck in sd, to let it warm up, then i plugged in the maf (with the car running). went back inside and cleared the trouble codes (so it would listen to the maf again). but it seemed to be exactly the same as sd. it drives quite different when on sd alone, and it appeared to be in sd mode. so i killed the motor let it sit for 10 + sec. then started it up again. same deal seems to be in sd mode (the computer is reading the maf input and its working) but the car behaves like it is in sd still. the bogging issue is gone no trouble codes it seems fine, its just driving really well, like it does in sd mode. is there any way i "reset" something that has allowed it to work. i know there is no way that it just magically works now, unless something i did changed it. i tried several other times turning the car off and letting it sit for 30 sec. or more and un plugging and re plugging the maf. no change. its running really well, but i just want to make sure it is using the maf properly.
