Hey Lextech

I've been lurjking on this forum for a while trying to get as much info on this swap as possible. I'm looking to do this swap in a 1999 Yukon (classic) 5.7 4x4 and I would much appreciate it if I could also get a copy of your wiring file.

thanks in advance

Thanks

You should be able to get a used 12200411 PCM with connectors for under 100.00. I have purchased a complete harness with 0411 from an 01-02 S10 off of E-Bay for 95.00------2 Times.

Vortech 4.3---Are you the guy I met at AppleBees cruise night?

Can you use the 98-00 PCM in place of the 96-97? I know the 98 will run the engine, but the isn't the dash different and runs off the Class 2 bus?

I guess a 98-00 black box PCM might and as long as the 95-97 dash (96-97 truck) runs off discrete sensors directly connected to it still (gas gauge, speedo, oil press, etc) and IIRC the 98-00 dash uses Class 2 commands on it.

I could be waaaay off, but i read something a while back. I sold my 96 FSM's
, but still have my 99 FSM's.

snbeard---PM me your E-Mail address and I will get you a copy of the 98 wiring file. It should work for what you are doing.

Vortech4.3---You only need about 5 pins for the swap.

n0dih---You could repin the 96-97 to take the 98-2000 Black Box PCM. But, if you are going to the trouble of repinning a PCM, why not go to the 0411. It has a 2x faster processor and more tuning support. All of the gauges will work fine. On the 96-97 the fuel sender does not go to the PCM, so when you install a 0411, you leave the fuel sender wired as stock.

I think the pictures and pinout lists that were on here are missing, can they be reposted?
