The Front suspension was assembled incorractly and the knuckles were the wrong ones for the control arms, so I had to redo it.

It runs ok, but I need to work on that also. It has the Camaro forward lamp harness, fuse boxes and pass-thru from the car in it. It had all of the lamp wiring and connectors still attached, so I pull all of that out of the harness. It had ALL of the factory wires going thru the pass thru and only 4 connected to any thing, so I pulled them out also.
They are talking about putting a sign up outside my stalls for a Performance Shop ![]() I just need to get some CTS-V customers in the door. I have done 1 XLR-V, 2 XLR's and 2 STS-V already, but no CTS-V's yet

The Front Suspension
The owner knew nothing about any issues with the front suspension. He recently purchased the car. This is a HEIDT'S front clip. ![]() These spacers were missing and the rack was draw tight against the lower control arm bolts. I also added a thin flat washer on the rear bushing of the lower control arm to help support the bushing ![]() The Tie Rod Jamb Nuts were loose and you can see the dented boots. ![]() This setup uses Mopar Ball Screw In Joints. This car had Stock Mustang II knuckles. The tapper in the knuckles for the ball joints is larger than the Mopar ball joints, so they were loose in the knuckles. These are the new Heidt's knuckles ![]() ![]()

Not only the rear diff side bearing adjusters were backed off about 1/4" or so, but the axles were tooooo long. Theyy had actually shimmed the axles retainers out by adding thick washers between the retainer and the axle tube.
The right axle is less than a year old and the left is stamped 07 Hmmmmm Left axle contact on the Trac-Loc Block ![]() Right axle contact on the Trac-Loc Block

When the owner (the Body Shop Manager) purchased the car he knew it had a rear diff issues of some sort. He has been looking for a Nova for at least the 5 or 6 years I have known him. He didn't want a race car. He didn't want an original car that he would have to spend time building and all the frustrations that go with that. He also didn't want a Show car.
This car fit his needs. He got it at the right price. It needs work and he enjoys working on them. Most important it starts and drives. With the 3.25 rear gears that were setup wrong he drove the car from his house to the dealership about 35 miles on back roads and used about 1 & 1/2 gallons of gas. I am installing 3.89 gears and the new 29" tires. This will be about equal to the 3.42 and the stock tire on the Camaro. Now he has been a carb & distributor guy to the bone, but this car has changed his mind. He is talking to me all about LS1, LSx, and the LSX stuff all the time now.
