Talking Hello from Minnesota!

Stumbled onto your forums while trouble shooting a distributor replacement issue in a 97 'Burb with a 'tec 350. Damn is it difficult to unlearn the brain the these dizzys DO NOT adjust or control the ignition timing. CRAZY!

You site provided some insightful perspectives and was a huge help in getting this vehicle up and running smooth again!

Thanks alot and I very much look forward to learning more in the near future!

Welcome to the Monodax forums.

Glad you got the distributer stabbed correctly. The CMP retard spec is + or - 2º for the V8's.

peace

Hello from Indiana

I am new to this forum. I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 with 4.8L LR4 and 4L60E Transmission. I have AEM cool air intake (replaced the AEM filter with a K&N for better flow but like the fact the the intake tub on the AEM is aluminum for better cooling), elelbrock Shorty headers MSD wires and Stock ingition coils (plan to get MSD coils later on), Borgson stering shaft, Monroe Reflex Shocks, Hypertech Hyperpac (formerly for tuning now just for gauge readout and data logging), JET dynamic Spectrum Tuner, 3.42 Eaton G80 (GM RPO code) locking rear differential, and 4, 265 70 R17 Cooper Xeon tires on 17inch Cadillac Escliade rims with GMC center caps. Sorry about my poor spelling but math, science, computers and engineering are more natural to me that spelling and grammar.
